Eyelid bruising is a bacterial infection of the sebaceous gland on the tip of the eyelid due to a weakened immune system, the Institute for Health Quality said.

He added that although the dimple of the eyelid causes annoying pain, it usually goes away on its own after about a week, where the dimple opens and pus comes out of it, thus fading swelling and redness.

The pace of healing can be accelerated by simple measures such as cleaning the tip of the affected eyelid with cleaning towels or cleaning fluids from the pharmacy.

You should consult your doctor if the abscess does not fade after two weeks, as it may require a small surgical intervention.
