The Trygghetskollen project was carried out in, among other places, Kalmar for three weeks during the autumn. With the help of GPS buttons, residents in Rikshem's house have been able to mark places that feel unsafe.

- It has been a very big commitment, which we are very happy about. But much of what has emerged is one we do not control ourselves. That is why we compile local reports that we hope to have the opportunity to discuss with other property owners and the municipality, ”says Kenneth Hinsegård, property manager for Rikshem in Kalmar.

Bus stops are considered unsafe

The places that are perceived as most unsafe are parks, downtown areas and bus stops. Among those surveyed in the project, 24 percent experience insecurity in the area where they live. The areas in Kalmar where most button presses are made include Norrliden and the central parts of the city.

In addition to Kalmar, the project was also carried out in Helsingborg, Luleå, Norrköping, Umeå, Västerås and Östersund.
