24 November 2019There are seven corpses found so far, between the beach and the sea, after the sinking of last night one mile from the island of the Rabbits of Lampedusa (AG). All the personnel of the Coast Guard and the Lampedusa Finance Police have been mobilized since yesterday afternoon. The searches are meticulous and capillary and are carried out both by sea and by land.

The first bodies recovered, after the shipwreck that took place yesterday a mile from the coast of Lampedusa, were carried by arms on the steep and steep path, of about 4 kilometers, which connects Cala Galera with the road. The sea conditions, very rough (in the area the weather alert is "orange") do not allow the coast guard boats to approach the shore.

Sea searches continued throughout the night following the sinking yesterday in front of the coasts of Lampedusa. The 149 migrants rescued by the Coast Guard patrol boats, including 13 women and 3 children, reported that there were twenty others missing on the boat. The boat, which had neither requested help nor signaled its position to the Coast Guard, capsized due to the stormy sea.
