It was one day in March that the victim, a man in his 30s, had arranged a date with another man he met through the dating app. The man came home to him in the apartment in Uppsala and after a while two other men came there, masked and armed.

After an assault with electric shocks, kicks to the head and fist blows, robbery trio under knife threat should have forced themselves a mobile, credit card, a rock and a watch.

After that, they left the victim naked, bleeding and tied with tape on the floor.

The man managed to get away and went over to a neighbor, who alerted the police.

DNA and images

At the crime scene, police technicians found DNA traces from one of the robbers, partly on a fimp and partly on a piece of tape. The suspect was also caught on surveillance film at an ATM, where he withdrew money with the victim's credit card.

The other two robbers have not been identified.

The now prosecuted man is in his 20s. He is suspected of gross robbery and abuse in court as he must have threatened the victim to come back if he contacted the police. In addition, the man is charged with unlawful coercion and money laundering when he must have forced a man to help him withdraw money to conceal that they came from criminal activities.

The accused man has admitted that he participated in the robbery, but claims that he was forced into it when he should have had a price on his head.

According to the indictment, it was a "aggravating circumstance" that the robbery targeted the man because of his sexual orientation.
