The police are looking for a 32-year-old man who waved a hatchet on Saturday on a ferry between Assendelft and Spaarndam, NH Nieuws writes.
The man started to wave a hatchet after a confrontation arose between him and the skipper of the ferry. He would not have wanted to leave the vessel at the end station.
The incident was brought to a successful conclusion by the skipper, who managed to calm the man down. However, the police are still looking for the man.
The police warns the man not to approach directly but to call 112 immediately. It is about a white man with blonde hair and a black bomber jacket. He would have a silver bike with green panniers.
A GVB spokesperson informed NH News that the skipper is doing well under circumstances. He has been taken care of and will report the man.
