Despite the curfew imposed in the capital, as well as in Cali, and although President Ivan Duque announced to be ready for dialogue, Colombians have decided to challenge the authorities for the third consecutive day this Saturday, November 23.

Curfews imposed in Bogota and Cali, the third largest city in the country, will not prevent Colombians out in the streets this Saturday, despite the warnings of the authorities and the militarization of these two cities.

Runaway on social networks

Authorities who do not hesitate to play with fear, which caused a runaway social networks and led to a massive deployment of security forces. In Cali, where an attack was committed on Friday against a police station, the mayor said he feared looting and destruction. So he decided this Saturday morning to impose the "Ley seca", that is to say the ban on the sale of alcohol. A measure that adds to the curfew imposed since Thursday evening and the massive sending of reinforcements of military and police.

Colombians continue to challenge President Ivan Duque, often protesting with pots and pans, as was the case Friday night in front of the president's home.

Looting and vandalism

The Colombian opposition calls on the authorities to assume their responsibilities and rejects the speech of Ivan Duque who, although he has now said he is ready for dialogue after having rejected this possibility 24 hours earlier, focused his intervention on Friday evening on looting and acts of vandalism. A president lower than ever in the polls and seems unable to take the measure of the situation.
