Turkey announced today that it will include the former Palestinian official resident in the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Dahlan in the list of wanted terrorists, and offered $ 700 thousand for information leading to his arrest.

According to Al Jazeera correspondent in Ankara that Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soilo told the Hurriyet newspaper that the Turkish Interior Ministry will include the name of Mohammed Dahlan on the red terror list, which consists of terrorists wanted by Turkey.

He pointed out that a reward of approximately $ 700,000 will be determined for those who help in providing information to help in his arrest.

Turkey accuses Dahlan of being a mercenary working for the UAE and of participating in a 2016 coup attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called him a terrorist and an agent of Israel.

Ihsanoglu also accused the UAE of "harboring a terrorist" and said in his interview with Al Jazeera, "Dahlan fled to you because he is an agent of Israel." He also accused the UAE, which has strained relations with Turkey, of trying to replace Dahlan Abbas.

A Palestinian court sentenced Dahlan, 58, in absentia to three years in prison in 2016 for corruption and ordered him to pay $ 16 million, according to his lawyer.

Dahlan was head of the security service in the Gaza Strip, but lost the necessary political cover after Hamas seized control of his forces in 2007, expelling Fatah from the territory.
