• Politics.Vox dynamite the consensus on sexist violence in Madrid institutions

The Delegation of the Government of Madrid is investigating the municipal action of Vox. In an e-mail sent to several municipalities in the region, to which EL MUNDO has had access, they are required to inform you of the institutional statements about sexist violence that the ultra-rightist party has blocked, although without explicitly naming it.

"It is not necessary any official writing in this regard, s send an email in response to it where the data requested in the previous line," says the department of the socialist María Paz García Vera in his letter. It also expresses the "urgent" nature of the required information.

The e-mail was sent this Thursday from an official account of the Government Delegation to at least nine Madrid town halls governed by various political parties. It states verbatim that, "at the indication of the Delegate's Cabinet", information is required on "institutional declarations against gender violence that have been presented in this legislature and, in relation to them, if they have been blocked by parties politicians with representation in the respective town hall. "

"I will be calling from this moment on the phones that I have from the town halls because it is what they have ordered, since the information is urgently needed , " adds the person who signs the email on it. "There are other colleagues who are also calling from the cabinet," he says.

This request for information of a political nature through institutional means occurs after Vox prevented the approval of two statements against sexist violence in the Assembly of Madrid and the City Hall of the capital. It is the first time that parties with representation in Madrid institutions fail to agree on a matter of this nature due to the ideological positioning of the formation of Santiago Abascal.
