It is about a forest area of 2,600 square meters in Tylösand that was felled without permission. Four people are suspected of, among other things, serious injury, something that Hallandsposten was the first to report.

The cut down coastal forest is valued at around SEK 10 million.

- It has taken time to find out who could have done it, how it went and how it was paid. Determining the damage value of this is complicated, says prosecutor Klas Lundgren.

Motives of the landowner

Four people are suspected, including the owner of the property adjacent to the fenced area.

- It's the person who has a motive. But in order for trees to be felled, someone has to hold the saw - and then it is probably also someone who has been hired.

Klas Lundgren says that it is not uncommon for people to cut trees on other people's land - but to a lesser extent.

- This is a large area that has been destroyed and that would increase the value of real estate. Sea views are sea views, so to speak.

How do they stand up to the charges?

- None of them admit responsibility for any crime, he says.

Klas Lundgren hopes to be able to prosecute before the end of the year.

- I've sent the material to the suspects and their defenders, and it's a big stack of paper. If the defenders want more time, it will be difficult to deny them that.
