The names lists with over 1500 signatures were handed over to the municipality in early October and now the election committee has made a decision. The association "No to wind power at Ripfjället" has previously protested against the planned expansion by, among other things, demonstration trains when they do not want the 250 meter high wind turbines at Ripfjället.
The local referendum can now become a reality. In a press release, the municipality writes that the matter is now handed over to the city council.
"It will be required that two-thirds of the members of the council vote in favor of the proposal for a referendum," writes Jörgen Norén (s), chair of the municipal council, in the press release.

The plans for the construction of 40 wind turbines in Ripfjället in Malung are taking a new turn. The election committee has now examined the lists of names and found that enough names have been entered.
