Around 10am on Friday, police announced that a woman had been arrested on suspicion of child molestation. The woman is related to the missing boy, according to police. The new data does not affect the search effort in the first stage.

The boy was out playing in the yard at his home in Färjestaden on Öland. It was at 15 o'clock on Thursday afternoon. He has not been seen since, according to police.
Relatives contacted the police after 4pm and since 17.35 they have been actively looking for the boy.
More than 1,000 volunteers gathered in the Ferry City to help with the search, according to police. At 21, a group from the organization Missing people came from Karlskrona. The group talked with the police to organize the search.
