A checkpoint belonging to government security forces in Yemen's southeastern Shabwa province has stopped a convoy of UAE forces carrying thermal rockets and sniper rifles from a UAE-run camp on the Gulf of Aden coast, local and security sources said.

She added that the convoy came out of the coastal Balhaf camp towards the camp of science, northeast of the city of Ataq.

The sources pointed out that members of a security point noticed the presence of weapons in a car not mentioned in the traffic permit issued by the province's security operations, stopping the procession.

One of the sources said that Emirati officers tried to pass the weapons, but the members of the point refused and stopped the procession until the arrival of an operational order from the provincial security command.

According to other sources of Al Jazeera Net, the UAE forces were aiming through the process of passing and transporting these weapons to cause chaos and riots in areas within the framework of the legitimate government control, as well as planning to target official government institutions and the practice of assassinations against officers in the government army.

This comes while the atmosphere of tension in the southern province of Aden, which Prime Minister Moin Abdul Malik and some members of the government arrived a few days ago, has returned.

Unidentified assailants attacked the house of the commander in the UAE-backed security belt "Waddah Omar Abdulaziz" in the Sheikh Othman district of the interim capital Aden.

According to the sources, the gunmen fired sound bombs and used heavy weapons in the clashes with the guards of the house of the security belt leader who thwarted the attack after both sides were injured and the house was damaged, where a number of cars caught fire and panic in the area.

In the meantime, one soldier was killed and another wounded by an armed attack on a police headquarters in Aden on Thursday and violent clashes inside the security headquarters, where there was no official statement from the city police to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
