22 November 2019Two blue cyclists, Vittoria Bussi and Letizia Paternoster, were involved today in as many accidents while they were training on the road.

In Moncalieri (Turin), 32-year-old Bussi , holder of the women's time record, was invested in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, when a car overwhelmed her. Transported to the Santa Croce hospital, she was hospitalized for a suspected fracture of the left clavicle. The driver stopped to rescue her.

Bussi holds the record for women's time - 48.007 kilometers - established September 13, 2018 in Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 2019 it was convened in the National team for time trials of the European championships in Alkmaar and the world championships in Yorkshire.

Similar incident for the Paternoster , overwhelmed by a car in Riva del Garda. The Trek Segafredo cyclist, winner of various medals at the European and World Championships both on the track and on the road, was transported to the hospital by fracture of the scaphoid.
