Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was hospitalized after a fall at a meeting of conservative politicians in Croatia, news reports said Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday at the end of the European People's Congress in Zagreb, Croatia, according to Corriere della Sera and other media.

Berlusconi, 83, is scheduled to spend the next two days at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan for medical tests.

Berlusconi was ruled out of serious sources by sources from Italy's Forward Party in comments carried by other media, including Italy's AKI news agency.
