Five citizen students, members of the Future Stars Medical Initiative, have created an artificial intelligence visual tracking platform to monitor the movement of individuals' eyes while carrying out specific tasks, such as driving or precision handicrafts. They called it "We Heart" and received funding from a fund. The implementation of medical projects affiliated to the House of Mwahid Association and VBS Health Care.

In detail, the students, Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Ahmad Al-Kaabi, Ahmed Al-Qamzi, Khalid Al-Dhaheri and Hamad Al-Darmaki, told Emirates Today that the idea of the platform depends on putting a camera against the individual when carrying out a precise task, such as driving or any other manual task that requires concentration. By creating an algorithm for machine learning, the camera monitors and traces eye movement, alerting the person that his or her focus has decreased, with the aim of reducing car accident rates associated with snoozing or falling asleep. The platform can be considered preventive before diagnosis or treatment.

Ahmed al-Mansouri, a student from China, said the project is a system to monitor eye and face movements while driving or performing tasks that need to focus, using artificial intelligence. The platform relies on a camera mounted on the rear mirror. The vehicle can track the movements of the driver's eye and face.

He added that the use of the platform in driving will help reduce accidents on the roads, pointing out that they have received funding for the project, which helps them to launch the platform officially within a period of 12 to 18 months, pointing out that they will in the coming period to communicate with the relevant authorities who can benefit from The project.
