According to the investigation, late in the evening of September 2, 2018, a police officer stopped a man to check his documents. After that, they went into the room at the metro station to draw up an administrative protocol.
The UK said that the man "in order to prevent legitimate activities" grabbed a gun from the police officer and shot him in the head, as a result of which the police officer died on the spot.
As part of the investigation, many examinations were carried out. The suspect pleaded guilty at the preliminary investigation stage.
“The investigation has gathered sufficient evidence, in connection with which the criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for examination on the merits,” the press service said.
In September 2018, a police officer was reportedly killed at the Kurskaya metro station in Moscow.
