France was eliminated in the group stage of the Davis Cup Thursday in Madrid after their defeat against Serbia after the two singles.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was beaten by Filip Krajinovic 7-5, 7-6 (7/5) in the opening and Benoît Paire could not then do anything against Novak Djokovic who beat him 6-3, 6-3 . Finalist last year, France finished second in group A but has no chance of finishing in the top two finishes in the quarter, regardless of its double result.
