London (AP) - A total of 16 suspected migrants have been discovered in a sealed truck semi-trailer on a ferry between France and Ireland. All persons are well, according to the Swedish shipping company Stena Line.
They had been found during a routine inspection. The ship was on its way from Cherbourg in France to Rosslare in the southeast of the Irish island. The origin of humans was initially unclear.
On October 23, 39 bodies had been discovered in a refrigerated truck in a town in the county of Essex, near London. Presumably, the 31 men and eight women hiding in the hold of the truck should be brought into the country. A ship had previously brought the container from Belgium to England. The victims came from Vietnam. In connection with the case, several people were arrested in Vietnam, Britain and Ireland.
