November 21st 2019 Free Via della Cassazione in the referendum on the electoral law. With an order filed yesterday the central office for the referendum at the Supreme Court declared "in accordance with the law" the request for a referendum on the Rosatellum advanced by 8 regional councils (Abruzzo, Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Sardinia, Basilicata and Veneto) for the "abolition of the proportional method in the allocation of seats in plurinominal colleges in the electoral system of the Chamber of Deputies and of the Senate of the Republic".The referendum proposal was filed with the 'Palazzaccio' by a delegation led by the League's Roberto Calderoli last September 30th: the Cassation, in these weeks, had requested - and obtained - an addition to the formulation of the question by the regional councils proposing .
The word now passes to the Consulta, which is responsible for examining the admissibility of the referendum on constitutional principles.
