“The Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia instructed the prosecutor's office of the Amur Region, together with the authorized departments, to conduct operational-comprehensive surveys of the state of protection of educational facilities, to determine the necessary amount of budget funding for their proper engineering equipment,” the Prosecutor General’s Office told TASS.

Earlier it became known that the authorities of the Amur Region, following the results of an official audit, fired the director of the college of construction and housing and communal services in Blagoveshchensk, where the shooting occurred on November 14. In addition, the deputy head of the Ministry of Education of the region resigned.

The Acting Head of the College was appointed Svetlana Lensky, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, who has been working in the institution since 1999.
