“The Kiku government has been working for less than a week. Today, the prime minister paid a visit to Moscow - the first in seven years, where he agreed on four important things, ”TASS quoted Dodon as saying.

He noted that agreements had been reached on loans for the development of infrastructure and the construction of roads in Moldova, on a discount on gas from 2020, the categories of goods that would be delivered without duties to Russia were expanded, and several thousand more permits were issued for transport workers so that they could carry Moldavian products to Russia.

According to Dodon, "the work has begun, and it will be carried out purposefully to restore strategic partnership between ... countries."

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, at a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Ion Kiku, called for catching up on missed opportunities in relations with Moldova.
