Toyota or other public vehicle purchase stop or exhaust emission regulations California, USA, November 19, 15:07

California, which employs state-specific strict emission regulations, has announced that it will not buy public cars from manufacturers who take the same position as the Trump administration that does not allow the state to authorize regulations. The media reports that Toyota Motor Corporation and GM = General Motors are subject to purchase suspension.

California has the authority to determine its own strict emission regulations, but the Trump administration announced in September that it would introduce a uniform standard across the United States and remove the state's authority.

California appealed the administration against this, but several automakers, such as Toyota and GM, joined the case last month through an industry association in the same position as the administration.

By the 18th, California announced that it would start from January next year after deciding to not purchase state official cars from manufacturers that do not recognize state-specific authority.

Several media in the US have reported that Toyota and GM are subject to purchase suspension.

On the other hand, Honda and Volkswagen, which have agreed with California on emission standards, are expected to continue purchasing.

Toyota has commented over the lawsuit that “the standard should be one for all Americans and automakers” and says that there is no change in position.
