  • A 17-year-old girl disappears without a trace in central Uddevalla and she is reported missing during the weekend by her relatives who have been unable to contact her.
Monday, November 18
  • The Voluntary Organization Voluntary intervention in crisis and disaster (FIKK) performs a search for the girl with 74 people who search in 14 groups in and around Uddevalla.
  • During the search, a pair of shoes are found in a forest area a few kilometers from the center where the 17-year-old girl was last seen.
Tuesday, November 19th

Police block off an area around the site for technical investigations during the morning.

  • 11:40 am: The police decide to initiate a special incident, which was described as a formality necessary for more resources to be put into the search for the girl.
  • 1:15 pm: Police report that much indicates that the 17-year-old has been subjected to a crime. A man is arrested and charged with murder in connection with the disappearance. According to the police, the girl and the suspected man should be acquainted with each other.
  • 15:26: The arrested man is arrested by prosecutors on suspicion of murder.
  • 17:12: Information in the investigation will, among other things, direct the search to the areas around Ljungskile.
