The corresponding statement was published on the website of the department.

“Such decisions are another example of a flagrant violation of international obligations on the part of the United States and their irresponsible attitude towards the agreements concluded and the decisions of the UN Security Council,” the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that all Iranian actions to suspend voluntary commitments under the JCPOA, including the resumption of enrichment work at Fordo, are a response to US actions.

“All suspension works are carried out by Iran under the constant supervision of the IAEA and are technically completely reversible. Moreover, according to the agency, the suspension did not affect those cascades on Fordo that are subject to reconfiguration, ”the department added.

Earlier, United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the US side decided to cancel the sanctions exemption that applied to the Fordo nuclear facility in Iran.

According to him, the decision was made in response to Tehran’s decision to begin uranium enrichment in Fordo.

In early November, Iran began enriching uranium in Fordo. In this regard, the Foreign Ministers of Germany, France and the United Kingdom expressed extreme concern.
