A boy rescues his two brothers in a fire in Leganés with 32 wounded

The fire this afternoon in a house in a building on Rioja Street in the Madrid municipality of Leganés has caused serious injuries by burning two people, while fume inhalation has affected five, of a moderate nature, and another 25 mild

This has been indicated by an Emergency 112 spokesman , who explained that the coordinating center received an alert for fire, already extinguished, about 7:22 p.m. and that the fire originated by burning a blanket next to a brazier in a room of the house in which there were three children with their grandparents, the two seriously injured.

The eldest of the three children, says the Emergency spokesman, was able to take the children out of the house, while the grandparents were later rescued by firefighters from the Community of Madrid and Leganés, who removed eight people from the facade of the building and evicted the rest of the neighbors.

SUMMA and Red Cross assists treated the injured and transferred the two people who suffered serious burns, a 70-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, to Getafe Hospital and October 12, respectively.

The place was also attended by National and Local Police officers.
