About 1.5 years ago, the TV series Storuman forever had its premiere where the renowned biathlete Björn Ferry and the arm wrestler Heidi Andersson wanted to make the Storumanborne people more climate-smart. But something has happened in the municipality since then - Björn comes cycling and meets us for an interview:

- It has become a bit of a bicycle boom here in Storuman. You see more and more people who have cargo bikes to push the kids or be able to shop by bicycle, he says.

But Björn adds that the biggest changes are that the municipality has received nine fast chargers for electric cars and that plans are being made to rebuild the railway terminal to drive more goods on the railroad.

"Hard to be a prophet at home"

Heidi and Björn aim to become fossil-free in 2025 and Björn says that they are well on their way but that the major societal changes that must at risk run out in time. But if they reach the goal of 2027, he still sees it as a success. The couple, among other things, have not taken the flight for several years, they drive an electric car, try electric powered for the clearing saw, build eco houses and buy second hand.

- We got quite less on tomatoes this year, it was a good harvest! But when you work a lot you have to eat a lot, says Björn and laughs.

So far, there is no planned continuation of the TV series Storuman forever. But Björn thinks the reception after the series was stronger than he expected.

- Almost daily people hear from them and it is purely positive. But I would think that we inspired more in Sweden than in Storuman - it's hard to be a prophet at home.

But what are the challenges of transitioning to a more climate-smart lifestyle? And what does son Dante think about the changes? Hear Björn Ferry about it in the clip above!
