According to diplomatic sources, a Japanese man in his twenties was arrested by Hong Kong police on the 17th in connection with Hong Kong protests.

Although no detailed charges have been revealed, the man was detained by police when he was in the vicinity of Hong Kong Polytechnic University where there was a fierce clash between students and the police on the 17th night.

It means that there is no problem with men being injured and that their health is not a problem.

This is the second time since September that the Japanese have been arrested in connection with a series of protests.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Japanese people staying in Hong Kong to be very careful not to get close to the scene of protests by issuing "Level 1" danger information.
