A Fujairah court has acquitted a Gulf Arab woman of wrongly causing the death of seven of her sons in a fire that broke out in her home two years ago.

The court had charged the mother with the charges of causing the death of seven of her children by mistake and negligence.

A fire broke out in January 2018 in a house in Roll area against us in the Emirate of Fujairah, resulting in the death of the seven children (four daughters including two twin girls and three boys), aged between five and 15 years, as a result of suffocation of black smoke caused by a fire in the house lounge.

The operation room of Dibba Fujairah Police received a notification at 5:05 am from one of the mothers, stating that her house had been burned and that her sons were inside the house. Immediately, police and Civil Defense patrols rushed to the site of the communication. The seven have died.
