Clashes erupted between UAE-backed security belt forces and insurgents in Aden. The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council said it might have to stop "provocations" by the government, which is blocking the implementation of the Riyadh agreement.

Yemeni sources said on Sunday evening that the elements of the security belt carried out raids in the Dar Saad area in the province of Aden, they were confronted by gunmen from the neighborhood and forced them to withdraw, before they were reinforced with various types of weapons.

Clashes erupted in the neighborhoods of al-Mahareik and al-Sila in Sheikh Othman district, during which both sides were injured.

Meanwhile, the Southern Transitional Council (NTC) said in a statement on its Twitter account that it might be forced to stop what it called provocations by the so-called Brotherhood military leaders in the Yemeni government, which aims to hinder the implementation of the Riyadh agreement.

The transitional council called on the leadership of the Saudi-UAE alliance to oblige the other party - in reference to the legitimate government - to stop these "provocations and breaches."

On November 5, Riyadh witnessed the signing of the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni government and the Transitional Council, the first of which provides for the return of the government to Aden. But its implementation was delayed more than once.
