“In the near future, the allied relations between our countries should reach a qualitatively new level,” Takes quoted Makey as saying.

He noted that the governments of the two countries, on behalf of the leaders, are conducting intensive work to coordinate proposals to deepen union integration, adding that the prepared integration documents relate to a significant increase in economic cooperation.

“These are the issues that the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers scheduled for tomorrow will be devoted to,” the minister said.

Earlier, the Kremlin commented on the words of the leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, that “no roadmaps” on the integration of Belarus and Russia would “be signed” if “fundamental issues in the economy” were not resolved.

According to him, Lukashenko talked about the advisability of an alliance with Russia “hypothetically”, and the mutual benefit of the Union State is “absolutely unshakable.”
