49 inspectors from different emirates have been working on the project of designing the visual media identity of the UAE in a workshop launched yesterday, based on the launch of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is the national project aimed at designing a visual media identity that will mark the UAE across the world and enhance its international presence.

The inspectors are divided into seven teams, focusing on six key elements that tell the story of the UAE, being the meeting place of the world, the gateway to the future, the land of talent, a beacon of hope, a world trade center, and a heritage and legacy platform.

Inspirers also worked to incorporate the visual media identity into seven core values ​​of state identity: giving, openness, innovation, tolerance, credibility, humility, and foresight.

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, said on the sidelines of the 49 Inspirers workshop, “I am proud of these 49 Emirati artists and creators who met yesterday from all emirates at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after launching a new national project, calls for the creation and design of a logo reflecting the media identity of the UAE ».

She added: “This remarkable group of national innovators is truly exceptional and they provide an impressive example of the creative sectors in the UAE, which are working together to develop and create a unified media identity that reflects the success story of the UAE and its remarkable achievements. And its future aspirations for the whole world. ”

In his opening speech, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future Minister Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi said that the inspirational mission is national, historic and its impact will continue for decades to come and will be celebrated by generations to come.

He added that «a country with Zayed, Rashid, Khalifa bin Zayed, Mohammed bin Rashid and Mohammed bin Zayed, has been able to create glory and a global presence, not easy to abbreviate all what it represents and everything embodied and presented in a symbol or slogan», calling on the teams to join efforts and creative ideas, To produce a distinctive, innovative and authentic visual media identity.

The seven teams - Sidra, Dana, Palm, Falcon, Al Boom, Al Ghaf and Barjeel - worked on a whole day to develop various technical proposals, including content and design, until they reached the final proposals.

The visual media identity design workshop began with a creative brainstorming to build the perceptions, opinions, ideas and emotions that the UAE name, story and achievements at the international level call for, in preparation for the formulation of the visual identity of the state. The teams then worked on their final options, then presented each team with their result.

The workshop's outputs from the seven teams, consisting of 49 creators selected through the executive councils of the UAE with seven creators from each emirate, included proposals for key elements including the proposed logo, the story that inspired the design, the decorative lines and the color palette.

The smallest imaginative

Fine artist Jawaher Al-Qiwani (20 years), the youngest participant in the workshop «Inspired» to «Emirates Today» that her participation in this task is a reflection of the confidence of the state in youth, pointing out that she is sitting today with her professors in the profession, share the opinion, stressing that she did not She would have dreamed of it one day, but her country gave her the confidence and opportunity to participate in an extraordinary event.
