At least nine civilians were killed yesterday by Russian warplanes in areas of Idlib province in northwestern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The Observatory counted the killing of five civilians, including three women, as a result of Russian raids targeting the village of al-Mallajeh in the southern countryside of Idlib, while four were killed by Russian raids on a random camp for the displaced north of the city of Saraqeb.

Idlib and parts of neighboring provinces are home to about three million people, half of whom are displaced from other areas. The shooting sponsored by «Russian - Turkish» at the end of last August.

Despite the ceasefire, the area is subjected to occasional Syrian and Russian raids, which have intensified recently, where the area is still controlled by armed factions.
