Malmo filmmaker Antonio Tublén made his name a few years ago in international film circles with the science fiction film "LFO", which was aided by Elijah Wood, best known as hobby Frodo Bagger in the filming of "The saga of the ring".
- I was at a movie festival in the US with the movie "LFO" and in the audience sat Elijah Wood. He loved the movie and helped get it internationally. The film won a lot of awards and quickly became a cult film, which was a great help now that we would get the economy together for the "Zoo", says Antonio Tublén.
Famous British actors"Zoo" is about John and Karen whose marriage is about to end. Trapped in everyday life, they move like living dead in the apartment without reaching each other.
When a zombie epidemic breaks out and turns people into bloodthirsty zombies, they are forced out of their self-exterminating existence to survive.
Antonio Tublén has succeeded with the British actors Zoë Tapper, known from the TV series "Mr Selfridge" and Edward Speleers, from "Downton Abbey", in the lead roles.
Zoë Tapper was a bit skeptical about participating in the "Zoo", according to Antonio Tublén.
- She got the movie script from her agent who said "here's a zombie script, read it". She was moderately impressed, but as she began to read it, she discovered that it was the characters of flesh and blood.
The film has already been shown at film festivals around the world, and one is waiting soon in Prague.
