After a quiet victory against Congo in the first day (2-0), Senegal reoffended this Sunday, November 17 beating Eswatini largely thanks to a hat-trick of Famara Diedhiou (4-1). What to see come the rest of the playoffs with serenity.

Senegal defeated Thiès Congo-Brazzaville on Wednesday (November 13th) on the first day of the CAN 2021 qualifiers (2-0). In Group I, the Lions had held their rank of vice-champions of Africa by winning with authority against a team that missed the last two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Diedhiou misses a penalty, but scored a hat-trick!

Today, Aliou Cisse's men have made a mouthful of Eswatini, who had already bowed heavily during the first day against Guinea-Bissau (3-0). But it took a little patience for the Teranga Lions. Famara Diedhiou had two opportunities to open the scoring in the first ten minutes. The Bristol City player then missed a penalty (10th).

Sadio Mané, warned before the break, was replaced at halftime. At the hour of play, a storm erupted and the game was interrupted for nearly thirty minutes. After the rain, Diedhiou finally opened the score of the head (59th). In the process, he scored two more goals to sign a hat-trick (65th, 67th). Momba reduced it in the 70th minute. But Pope-Alioune Ndiaye broke the nail in the 77th minute.

The vice-champions of Africa can now wait quietly after these two victories in a row in Group I. In August, the Lions of Téranga receive Guinea-Bissau on behalf of the third day.
