Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim announced that Emir of the State Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah informed him of the formation of a new government soon.

He added in a press statement regarding the communication of Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad to the Public Prosecution - that the National Assembly is not a party to any conflict, and that it is not with one party against another, pointing out that the state of institutions that do not protect anyone regardless of his position should be cherished.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense issued a statement yesterday, stressing that the reason for the resignation of the government financial irregularities, for which the responsibility of the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior when he was Minister of Defense.

Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak last week presented the Emir with the resignation of the government, so that the ministerial work could be rearranged.

Recent weeks have seen tensions between the government and parliament after questioning Public Works Minister Janan Boushahri and Interior Minister Khalid al-Jarrah al-Sabah.

Boushahri, who is also the secretary of state for housing affairs, announced her resignation to avoid a vote of confidence after a stormy questioning.

Ten deputies filed a no-confidence motion against the interior minister, who is also a deputy prime minister. The vote was to be voted on, but the government's resignation prevented it.
