The man, who lives alone in a house outside Växjö, applied earlier this year to come to an accommodation. But he was denied by the municipality's care board because his need for help was not considered so extensive.

The 91-year-old appealed against the refusal to the administrative court. The man told the court that he is feeling worse physically and mentally and that he feels lonely, sad and insecure in his home, the magazine writes.

The district court went on the 91-year-old's line. In the judgment, the court noted, among other things, that a district nurse confirmed that the man had lost nine kilos in weight in five weeks despite meal support from the home service.
