High-heeled shoes are a way of attracting women, which causes many women to wear “high heels” when going out of the house, heading to work, shopping, or visiting, but there is an unnoticeable problem associated with causing accidents. Traffic, some of which were fatal.

A security source confirmed to Emirates Today that there is a real problem in using high heels while driving.

He said: "Due to several incidents committed by women, it turned out that they could not control the brake pedal well because of the high heel of the shoe," pointing out that "this problem usually occurs in crowded areas, such as the vicinity of schools and markets, or high-density streets."

This was confirmed to Emirates Today by women who have suffered frequent accidents due to wearing this type of shoes while driving. They explained that the heel was stuck in the car floor and caused great confusion for them, pointing out that the problem is exacerbated when they are forced to take it off and driving barefoots. It becomes more difficult and confusing them, because they can not press the pedal properly.

The source says that «high heels» does not help to press comfortably on the accelerator or brake, which makes the driver nervous and negatively affect its decisions.

He adds that «the problem is usually repeated in areas with high density, where women are forced to use the brakes a lot, and this is difficult in light of wearing high heels», pointing out that «can not count the number of accidents caused by these shoes, because they do not enter "Police ratings, but - given the number of women who caused accidents, the percentage can be said to be quite low."

Fatima Ahmed said she can drive any kind of shoe, whether heel or flat, but she is used to driving large-sized cars, giving enough space between the pedal and the floor of the car. So the problem doesn't suffer much.

She added that she knew that the situation would be different when driving small cars, as it is not possible to drive comfortably in high heels. Tamara Ali reported that she rammed a vehicle from behind in her car during the traffic, a few months ago, as she missed a moment off the road. When I realized it was very close to the front car, I pressed the brake pedal, but the high heels prevented the pressure on the pedal completely and shocked by a slight shock from the rear.

Ferial Adel said that she keeps flat shoes in her car that she wears while driving.

She added that she almost committed more than one accident because of high heels, absorbed the lesson and decided to use shoes suitable for driving only.
