A woman of German nationality, suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization of the Islamic State, was expelled from Turkey and arrested Friday night upon arrival at Frankfurt airport. Nine people were expelled from Turkey to Germany this week, but Nasim A. was the only one arrested on arrival on German soil.

According to information from the German court, Nasim A. went to Syria in late 2014. In early 2015, she married a fighter of the Islamic State group and moved with him in the Iraqi city Tall Afar.

The couple lives in a house, whose legitimate owners have been hunted, arrested or killed by the terrorist organization, believes the German justice. For $ 100 a month, Nasim A. takes care of the household so that her husband is fully at the disposal of the terrorist organization. The IS also provides him with an automatic firearm.

Later, the couple moved to Syria, where Nasim A. was arrested in early 2019 by Kurdish forces.

Facts for which Nasim A. will be presented this Saturday in front of the German Federal Court which must decide a warrant of arrest together with a detention on remand.

But the German authorities do not always have enough evidence at their disposal to bring to justice the alleged members of the IS expelled by Turkey.

Another EI combatant wife, who arrived Friday night on the same flight as Nasim A, was interrogated but not arrested. Just like a man with dual Iraqi and German nationality and six members of his family arrived Thursday in Berlin.
