November 16, 2019In an interview with the BBC, Prince Andrew of England claims to blame himself "every day" for continuing to hang out with Jeffrey Epstein, the US billionaire accused of serious sexual abuse of minors who died in prison last August.

The third son of Queen Elizabeth II, who spoke to the broadcaster for the first time about his relations with the financier, said he did not remember ever having met the woman who accused him of sexual violence when he was a minor, according to some excerpts published of the interview that will be broadcast this evening. "I don't remember meeting this woman," the Duke of York said of Virginia Roberts (now Giuffre).

Virginia Giuffre said she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew in London in 2001 when she was 17 and then on two other occasions in New York and on the private island of the American financier in the Caribbean.

In the BBC interview, Prince Andrea claims to blame himself "every day" for continuing to hang out with Jeffrey Epstein after his release in 2010. The American had served a prison term after being sentenced in 2008 for inducing prostitution in Florida. Jeffrey Epstein was again arrested in early July 2019 on charges of paying "dozens of victims", girls under 18, in some cases even "fourteen-year-olds", "girls" in exchange for sexual services in his Manhattan and Florida mansions between 2002 and 2015.

He was also accused of paying potential witnesses. He risked 45 years in prison. The financier was found dead on August 10 in the cell of his New York prison. The autopsy results confirmed suicide by hanging. Buckingham Palace has repeatedly denied any improper behavior on the part of Prince Andrew. When questioned by the British press, the 59-year-old prince stated at the end of August that he had never "suspected" Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse.
