Turtles swimming in the middle of the seaweed, as if suspended in the air, a shark with gaping mouth, a flamboyant red crab: for the festive season, monumental luminous structures make their return to the Jardin des plantes in Paris , for a nocturnal walk on the theme of the ocean.

Clown fish, ogre fish, shrimp, hermit crabs, flamingos ... In total, several hundred light structures up to 10 meters high or 30 meters wide were installed in the Garden and Menagerie. The visitor passes from one to the other by entering the belly of a great white shark of 33 meters.

"This new evening route, open to the public every evening from 18h, from 18 November to 19 January (with the exception of 24 and 31 December), showcases the marine world, echoing the great exhibition" Ocean, an unusual dive ", currently presented at the Great Gallery of Evolution," says the National Museum of Natural History.

"Ocean in the process of illumination" depicts 50 paintings and four marine environments. Tickets must be purchased online.

Initiated last year with "Species in the process of illumination" and lanterns tyrannosaurus, saber-toothed tiger or bear, the course had attracted 370,000 visitors.

All light structures were made in China by China Light and the set required a month of on-site assembly.
