Musical comedy, fantasy tale, rock concert, contemporary ballet and circus numbers 2.0: at the crossroads of the arts, "Le Monde de Jalèya", a global show created by the French Ludovic Marcato, continues to revolutionize the track to the stars, a challenge that has been underway for some time. years by Cirque du Soleil, a Quebec company.

Author and designer of the "World of Jalèya", Ludovic Marcato, 35 years old, founder of the Cirque de Paname, promises great shows "carrying high the values ​​of creativity, innovation and French know-how".

On the Longchamp racecourse, the company of Cirque de Paname has installed its giant marquee without posts, thanks to a new concept of metal arches that offers 2,500 seats with a total visibility of 6,000 m2.

"Cirque de Paname wants to renew the offer by bringing together all the disciplines of the stage, not just contemporary circus acts," AFP Ludovic Marcato told Cirque du Soleil before participating in several musicals. such as "Mozart, the rock opera", "1789, The Lovers of the Bastille", "Mugler Folies" and "Resist" of France Gall.

"The World of Jalèya", his first creation, was conceived as a great imaginary journey, carried by unpublished songs and epic music. A challenge that keeps its promises thanks to state-of-the-art technologies such as an odorama and computer-assisted water games. Acrobats, dancers, actors, singers and musicians in 200 extravagant costumes: 70 artists and technicians are mobilized.

In red thread, the story of Oliver, a child who discovers in an attic a chest filled with objects including an old lantern with mysterious powers that will take him to travel through the kingdoms of the elements of nature. Accompanied by Knosios, a mysterious guide, Oliver crosses fantastic territories, meeting the creatures that populate them.

As soon as the curtain rises, the spectator takes full eyes with the flight by an impressive storm sky of a balloon that carries the two heroes. To prolong immersion, luminous wristbands distributed to the public take on the dominant colors of the various spectacular paintings, with dreamlike tones sublimated by a spatial sound.

Funambulists and acrobats with ribbons, flying trapezes or aerial masts follow one another to the rhythm of history. Among the moments of grace, the meeting of the young Oliver with a mechanical horse, real size, animated by two artists. Later, a nymph plays the trapeze in a transparent sphere propelled in the air.

Twenty songs from the show are performed by a furious pop-rock band, accompanied by twenty dancers launched in acrobatic choreographies of the French Skorpion, the 2009 world hip-hop champion who worked with Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

The show can be continued with a novel "Jalèya, in the shadow of Oliver Wynd", co-written by Ophélie Pemmarty and Ludovic Marcato.

Installed as a winter residence on the Longchamp racecourse, the company of the Cirque de Paname engaged in "the return of the tradition of great shows in Paris and on tours", announces a new show every year.
