Torgbakken's preschool in central Karlskrona will be closed - after new alarms regarding problems with the indoor environment. The school's operations will be relocated to the Lyckeby School's former premises, which are being restored.

But it is uncertain how long those premises will be available - as there will be new housing on that site, according to the South East.

The building that the students will be moving to will be demolished as the municipal housing company Karlskronahem will build new housing on the site. The company plans to start the project as soon as possible - which means that the children may need to move again.

"We must take into account the upcoming construction," says Marina Eriksson, Head of Department of Knowledge Management at Karlskrona Municipality to the newspaper.

Want to go back to the center

Karlskrona Municipality is currently conducting investigations of the indoor environment at Torgbacken's preschool, and the samples will be sent for analysis. The answer can take four weeks, according to Marina Eriksson.

At Torgbacken's preschool there is a 24-hour activity, so for it to work, the preschool wants to return to the center as soon as possible.

- The plan is to restore Torgbacken, but we don't know anything about the future before we get the answers. The school has a good location in central Karlskrona, Eriksson tells the newspaper.

There are 80 children who are affected by the move for the 24-hour operation, according to the newspaper, but it is still unclear what day the children will be moved out.
