According to her, a criminal case under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia about organized fraud was instituted after a resident of Chuvashia contacted the police, who told about a failed meeting with a pseudo realtor after transferring 5 thousand rubles for rental housing.
During the investigation, it became known about the creation in October 2018 by a Kazan resident of an inter-regional criminal group, whose members offered assistance in renting real estate on the Internet, but, receiving funds from customers, did not fulfill their obligations.
It is noted that during searches in their offices documents important for the criminal case were seized, as well as computers and cell phones, the alleged organizer of the group was arrested.
Earlier, the site "Moscow 24" reported that the metropolitan administration of Rosreestr told about measures to protect against real estate fraud.
