“Today I announce the decision to update the blacklist in Cuba. Five organizations belonging to the Cuban military have been included in the list of legal entities with which direct financial transactions are generally prohibited, ”the US State Department press service quoted the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as saying.

He noted that on November 16, Cuba marks the 500th anniversary of Havana.

“Havana was once one of the most dynamic and prosperous cities in America,” wrote Pompeo.

However, in his opinion, this anniversary serves as a sad reminder of how the Cuban revolution is harming the people of the country.

We are talking about sanctions for one hotel in Havana, another in Varadero, as well as three in the Jardines del Rey archipelago.

Currently, the list of US sanctions on Cuba includes more than 100 organizations.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed the continued support of Cuba against the backdrop of US sanctions.
