Early UAE 2019 celebrates 'tolerance personalities' initiatives

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced that this year's first UAE event will be dedicated to celebrate and honor personalities and initiatives in support of tolerance in the UAE.

"This year we will celebrate, among the first emirates, tolerance, noble values ​​of our society, symbols and role models, and positive coexistence in our homeland," he said.

His Highness added: «We will honor national and global personalities and initiatives .. Tolerance and the UAE are two sides of the same coin and we will continue to be a homeland of tolerance, model and role model in conscious openness .. We continue the journey of life with optimism and hope».

His Highness tweeted on his Twitter page, saying: "This year, we will honor among the first of the UAE models of tolerance in our society who have published and published their values ​​who have worked to establish an Emirati society that the founders of this country wanted to be a human and global model of tolerance."

His Highness also invited citizens and residents to nominate personalities, projects and initiatives that promoted tolerance.

The UAE's first 2019 event was dedicated to honoring leading Emirati personalities and initiatives in tolerance and its role in highlighting the tolerance of the UAE people and its openness to the world and its cultures, in line with the Year of Tolerance announced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

Nominations have been opened through the website of the initiative uaepioneers.gov.ae as of November 22. All members of the public can nominate national figures and initiatives that support the values ​​of the community and most promote tolerance and cohesion in the UAE society, and all success stories that have highlighted the image of the UAE as the capital of tolerance, The value of tolerance as an extension of the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the state, "God bless his wealth", and sustainable institutional work, aimed at deepening the values ​​of tolerance, dialogue and acceptance of the other and openness to different cultures.

The award comes within the framework of the sixth session of the «First Emirates» initiative.

The honoring is the highest national award to honor the accomplished and first nationals in various fields, and to promote the outstanding UAE models in different fields and highlight their achievements.
