The Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi has begun a study of the situation of retired citizens in Abu Dhabi, through a survey of 50 questions about their lifestyle, to identify the living, social, psychological and financial aspects that affect the lifestyle of retirees, and to determine the quality of their lives after the retirement period, in addition to standing The most important challenges facing them, and identify their proposals on the development of services provided to them to communicate their views and opinions to the competent authorities.

The Department said that it aims to explore the situation of retirees in the emirate, which was launched in cooperation with «Abu Dhabi Pension Fund» and «Pension Authority» and the Department of Finance, to identify the needs of retirees in Abu Dhabi, and the impact of the retirement stage on the quality of life, and raise it to The decision, in order to formulate programs and policies that will qualify retirees, make the retirement stage more flexible.

She pointed out that the questionnaire includes retirees registered with the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, and the number of more than 8,000 retirees, through coordination between the Department and the Fund, where they will send text messages urging them to participate.

The Chairman of the Department, Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, said that retirees are an essential pillar in society and an important element towards enhancing the development scene in Abu Dhabi, where they have diverse experiences, pointing out that the survey of retirees study will be a starting point for more initiatives and projects targeting this category, and enable them to give Permanently in society, which contributes to the social and economic stability of them and their families.

He pointed out that the Department has made opinion polls and social surveys, one of the most important mechanisms on which to build its future projects, as it is a means of scientific and methodological communication to identify the needs of society in all segments, and all age groups.
