Activists on social media circulated a video they said showed the moment when masked gunmen kidnapped the dean of the Higher Institute of the Interior Ministry, Major General Yasser Abdul Jabbar, from the center of Baghdad, in broad daylight and in front of passers-by.

The video shows masked gunmen descending from an SUV with armored wheels, after they intercepted Major General Abdul Jabbar's car in Baghdad's Jadriya neighborhood and drove him to their car without any resistance from his guards.The activists confirmed that the kidnapping took place three days ago.
