Participants from 26 countries join the European Championships, an event that Helsingborg's curling club applied for four years ago.

- What matters most is to show an Olympic winter sport down here in Skåne, says Emma Pettersson, project manager for Curling European Championships.

Ice expert from Canada

Right now it is busy days for all volunteers and organizers. In order to get the perfect curling ice, they have brought in expert help from Canada.

- It's been long days with a lot of work and our goal is to get the best ice cream, says Jamie Denbrook, who travels around the world and transforms hockey rinks into curling arenas.
