“Rostrud warns: scammers in the country are impersonating themselves as labor inspectors,” the report said.

As noted, callers are introduced by employees of the state labor inspectorate and report that “work” is underway with respect to the employer, during which unscheduled inspections are planned.

After that, the criminals offer paid services in preparation for such events. Fraudsters also offer to purchase printing products and literature, which, in their words, will help minimize the consequences of “any checks of the state labor inspection”.

Similar facts of fraud were recorded, including in Moscow, Stavropol, Perm, Krasnodar Territories, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra, Komi, Penza, Kirov, Volgograd, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kostroma, Orel, Bryansk , Tver, Smolensk, Kursk, Ryazan, Murmansk, Lipetsk, Astrakhan regions.

In this regard, Rostrud appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a request to take the necessary measures.

Earlier, representatives of the largest Russian banks said that scammers who steal money from bank cards using social engineering have a new way to cash out funds.
