November 14, 2019A powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake was recorded in the Sea of the Moluccas, off the coast of Indonesia. This was revealed by the US geophysical body (USgs).Local authorities have launched a tsunami alert. The earthquake was recorded off the island of Ternate, about 45 km deep and 140km from the capital.
The Usgs warns that the earthquake could cause tsunami waves up to 300 km from the epicenter on the Indonesian coasts.
